Chinese New Year - 02/02/2015

This week the children have learnt about the story of the Chinese New Year by watching (http://www.bbc.co.uk/cbeebies/stories/lets-celebrate-chinesenewyearperformance) a video about it. In addition, they decorated their own Chinese Lanterns for the new year assembly.

 

In addition, in phonics the children have learnt 'x' and 'y' phoneme. Also, for Mathematics, they have focused on one more and one less. Then putting them into a number sentence (5+ 1 = 6).

 

Next week the children will be learning the digraph 'sh' and 'z'.
