Kings and Queens 28.02.2014
This week we have been learning 'Kings and Queens'. Our role play area was turned into a castle, where we read and acted the story of Cinderella. We also drew and wrote about our favourite part from the story of Cinderella. The children painted themselves as either Kings, Queens or Black Knight. For cooking we made jam tart from the nursery rhyme 'The Queen of Hearts'. The children made the pastry by mixing butter, flour and water. After the pastry was cooked, we spread some strawberry jam on them, yum, yum! Next week we will be looking at the nursery rhyme 'Humpty Dumpty'.
