This week Yew class have been some fantastic learning! On Monday, we learnt all about Roman artefacts in History. We even made models of Roman artefacts! Later on in the week, we learnt all about Eid and Islamic culture! To showcase our understanding of the different important parts of a Mosque, we made mosaic art pieces of Mosques using Islamic geometric patterns.

This week in Year 3, the children got to decorate the Christmas tree in the school hall!

In our Science lessons, we have been learning about the properties of rocks and we have been testing their permeability, hardness, durability and density.

The children also had a wonderful Baroque Workshop where they learnt a range of different songs and music!

Continuing with our Black History Month celebrations, we learnt all about West African culture and Cuisine and we even baked a West African Lime Cake which the children thoroughly enjoyed doing!

At the end of our forest schools session this term, we were invited to go the woodlands centre where we made leaf prints and fire!

To improve our drama skills, we had a drama workshop where we learnt all about the art of improvisation!

We had a wonderful speaker, come speak to the children all about what it means to be Black and British to kick off our Black History Month Celebrations.

We visited the Harrow Arts Centre for our first trip this term and watched a fantastic contemporary Indian dance performance all about recycling and sustainability.
