Growing, Literacy and Maths - 10th July 2015
This week in RC, we have been continuing to learn about our topic of 'Growing' and have done some growing of our own in the learning garden by planting seeds and growing cress. Some children also enjoyed learning how to ride their bikes without stabilisers on Thursday with the Bike-It Crew.
For literacy, we have been learning to use a range of adjectives in our writing and have been reading the story 'Oliver's Vegetables', learning about the different vegetables that were grown as well as getting to taste them, we have also been writing book reviews and sequencing the story.
We read the story 'The sandwich that Max made' and learnt how to make our own healthy sandwiches - the children enjoyed eating them very much and used lots of adjectives to describe them.
For mathematics, we have been practising our doubling skills using 'Mrs Doubling Robot' as well as using a range of resources and completing lots of practical maths activities to help us with our learning and practice all the math skills we have learnt so far.
