NACE Challenge Award - providing challenge for more able pupils
Newton Farm has held the NACE challenge award for over a decade.
At Newton Farm we identify gifts and talents of pupils using a range of qualitative and quantitative data. Independent learning and collaborative learning is integral to in-class provision and in conjuction with the other whole school initiatives, such as BLP, P4C and RRS we are confident that we provide a range of opportunities for pupils to achieve at the highest level. In addition, we continue to provide new technologies to raise the achievement and motivation of more able and talented pupils.
Students are provided with the opportunities to share their voices and lead the curriculum, with initiatives such as RRS and leading school assemblies or lessons for other pupils. They lead talks in other schools on the topics, such as RRS and Fair Trade.
