Children are admitted into Reception class in the year of their fifth birthday. The Local Authority admissions policy is implemented centrally; the school does not allocate places. If you are not a resident in Harrow you can find out about the application process via your local authority.
In-year school transfers are managed by the local authority according to published admission arrangements. Children can move up or down the waiting list, their position is not static. The local authority will inform you if a school place becomes available - not the school.
If your child was born between 1 September 2017 and 31 August 2018 you can apply for a place in primary school for September 2022. You can read information on applying for a school place on the harrow.gov.uk website within the school and learning section. Apply for a primary school place – Harrow Council

Whenever possible, children are offered a school of their parents’ preference. Sometimes, however, there
are more applications for a certain school than there are places available. Whenever this happens places are offered
according to the LA criteria. Please see the online Guide to Primary Schools in Harrow brochure for detailed information.
The Nursery at Newton Farm School is a purpose built, self-contained unit. It accommodates twenty-six children at both of its daily sessions. Admission to the Nursery does not guarantee a place in the Main School.
The Nursery is considered to be a vital part of our early year’s provision. It is well resourced and popular, serving several other local schools as well as Newton Farm. Children are provided with a stimulating environment, a variety of educational activities and first-hand experiences. They are regularly invited to class assemblies and share in the general ethos of the school.
If your child was born between 1 September 2018 and 31 August 2019 you can apply for admission to the Nursery for the September 2022 intake. Places are offered according to the Harrow Admissions Criteria of ‘children who live the closest.’ You can read information on applying for a school place on the Apply for a nursery school place – Harrow Council website within the school and learning section.
