Ways you can help Newton Farm School
At Newton Farm School, we are always grateful for the support our parents and carers provide in order to enhance the lives and education of each of our students. We look for support in a variety of ways and are sure you will find a way in which you can help make a positive impact.
Donating to the School Fund
If you can support us financially this would help to provide opportunities for our students that we could not otherwise facilitate. There is a payment item in your ParentPay account which allows you to donate money to the Newton Farm School Fund. We have suggested a payment of £15 but you are free to donate as much or as little as you feel able.
We are lucky to have a collection of people who volunteer at the school. We couldn’t function without them, but there are always more opportunities and support we could offer the children. Please let us know if there is something you can help with.
If you would like to make a donation directly from your salary, please contact your employer to find out whether they operate a payroll giving scheme. Under these schemes, donations are automatically deducted from an employee’s gross salary before tax is paid. This means that a £10 donation to Newton Farm School would only cost you £8 and if you are a higher rate tax payer, it would only cost you £6! It should simply involve filling in a form that your HR team provides, saying that you wish to donate to the “Newton Farm Nursery, Infant & Junior School Fund”, charity number 291206, and they will do the rest.
If your employer has a charitable giving policy, they may be able to match your donations. Almost all large companies do this, and many small/medium companies also do, so if you do choose to donate directly, please check your company website or via HR first to find out their charitable giving / match funding policy. In some cases, they will match time as well as money, which we also welcome.
