House Points
Are you helping your house to succeed?
At Newton Farm School, we take pride in always striving to do our best, making the right choices, and aiming to leave the world a better place than we found it. Our House Points System reflects these values and is built around four inspirational figures:
Arnold
Braille
Frank
Yousafzai
These names represent individuals who have demonstrated a remarkable growth mindset, overcoming significant challenges in their lives and have helped change the world. They serve as role models for children around the world, inspiring us all to persevere and make positive contributions to society. Each also embodies one of the Four R’s that we instill in our students: Resourcefulness, Reciprocity, Resilience, and Reflectiveness.
Children can earn house points in many different ways: by showing a growth mindset, tackling and overcoming challenges, being a good role model, thinking outside the box, and through a variety of other positive actions.
Every Friday, the house points are tallied and the winning house for the week is announced during assembly. The points are regularly updated on the school website, so children can track their house’s progress. At the end of the term, the house that has won the most weeks receives a special prize.
