Black history assembly

October is officially Black History Month and Newton Farm School invited Mrs Sealey and Mrs Blaize to kick-start our Black History celebrations. Their talks focused on the impact of black history on our society today and their immense experiences enabled the children to reflect on the rich culture we have in our community.
It was an inspirational start to our celebrations and at least 8 different articles from the UNICEF Rights Respecting Schools were covered in the assembly! A big than you to Mrs Sealey and Mrs Blaize for their fantastic contributions.
