Nepal Appeal
On Friday 15 May 2015, all the children at Newton Farm School brought in £1 from home so that we could raise money to support UNICEF’s “Bring-A-Pound Day for Nepal” to buy much needed food, water and medicines. We laid out a map and every child came to make a difference to the people of Nepal and also to say a prayer for those who have lost love ones. As a Rights Respecting School, the children are very aware that a collection of £55 could provide 5 families with clean drinking water and that UNICEF is on the ground, delivering clean water and other life-saving emergency supplies for children and families in Nepal.
