This week we have been learning about under the sea. We learnt about different types of fish in the ocean. We had lots of fun in our under the sea role play. We also released our butterflies.
This week we have been learning about the life cycle of a butterfly. We received our caterpillars and helped put them in their individual containers. We also harvested the lettuce that we planted and made a caterpillar salad using lettuce, tomatoes and cucumbers. It was so yummy!
This week in the nursery, we have been learning about the Life of a Chick. The children had a chance to hold the chicks, they are so soft! As part of RE week, the children visited a church. We also celebrated the Queen's Platinum Jubilee. We made cucumber sandwiches and we dressed up in red, white and blue. What an amazing week we had!
This week we have been learning about 'Minibeasts.' We went on a minibeast hunt around the school and we found ladybirds, bees, ants, beetles and spiders.
This week we have been learning about Goldilocks and the Three Bears. We learnt about different sizes, big, medium and small. We used different materials to make the Bear's face. We also made and tasted porridge. Next week, we will continue to learn about Goldilocks and the Three Bears.
This week,we continued to learn about our topic 'Autumn'. We went on our autumn walk and found different signs of autumn. We found yellow leaves, brown leaves, red leaves and orange leaves. We did our public speaking competition. Thank you to all the children who took part. As part of book week, we all dressed up as our favourite book character. We also had Year 5 coming to visit us to read their stories to the children. What a fun week!
This week we have been learning about Autumn. We learnt about the different signs of autumn. We also celebrated Diwali in the Nursery by cooking gajar halwa. It was so yummy!
The children have been settling in and making friends. This week, we have been learning about 'People who help us'. We pretended to be builders and firefighters. We also dressed up for 'Be Bright and Be Seen' day. We had lots of fun!!
