Our Personal Development Curriculum
At our school, we are immensely proud of our Personal Development Curriculum, a carefully structured framework designed to nurture well-rounded, resilient, and curious young citizens. Our curriculum is built around four essential pillars:
- Character Development
- Future Ready
- Citizenship
- Life Skills.
We believe that learning must go beyond the classroom. To support this, we commit to providing at least one educational trip, one outdoor learning session, and an interactive AR or VR experience every single term.
Through this rich, hands-on provision, our pupils build the skills they need for life:
- Resilience & Character: Pupils learn to embrace challenges early on, such as using the word "yet" in Year 1 to re-frame difficulties, and learning to view errors as "marvellous mistakes" in Year 3.
- Practical Life Skills: Children learn safety and nutrition by preparing healthy meals using the "Eatwell Guide" in Year 2, and they develop critical Digital Literacy by evaluating online "Deepfakes" and AI-generated content in Year 6.
- Enterprise & Leadership: Pupils cultivate real-world business acumen, progressing from role-play shops to actually running their own mini-enterprise stalls.
- Enriching Experiences: We bring learning to life with unforgettable memories, from early-years Forest School to cultural landmarks like Windsor Castle and the British Museum, culminating in our Year 6 residential trip.
We are dedicated to giving every child the experiences and character-building opportunities they need to become confident, active, and truly future-ready individuals.
