Poetry competition

The pupils at Newton Farm thoroughly enjoy poetry and so they requested a performance Poetry Competition. This was held on Wednesday 13th February and the judging panel included the Vice Chair of the Governing Body, Mrs Nickolay. The children were given the opportunity to recite their favourite poem using all the speaking and performance skills they have been taught in class. It was wonderful to hear the children's expressive tones in each of the poems they recited.
