To all of Ash class, for their excellent behaviour and learning our trip to Kidzania.
It was an exciting and very competitive sports day for reception. Mr V put together a number of fun activities that worked on various skills they learnt throughout the year. Well done to everyone for taking part (including the parents). A special well done to Frank (green) team for gaining the most points and being the overall winners of Reception sports day. A huge congratulations to Hirani and Arjun for being crowned the fastest girl and boy in reception. Congratulations to Ananya, Praneesha, Saish & Palvit for being runners up.
This week Reception went on a trip to Kidzania. The children tried different jobs and got paid! We had an amazing time! A special THANK YOU to all our parents who came with us!
This week, we have been learning about under the sea. We learnt about the importance of corals and we read the book the whale who wanted more. We also had STEM week.
This week we have been learning about Under the Sea. We pretended to be marine biologist. We used different resources to create a sea scenery. Many many congratulations to Jana who came second in Newton Farm Got Talent!!! She is a talented singer and dancer. We also dressed up for Film Festival as our favourite character.
This week Reception children got the opportunity to have a football session coached by Tottenham FC. They listened/followed instructions really well and some children were able to control the ball with 1 foot.
We started the week by going on a spring walk. Then we attended a minibeast workshop. To celebrate international week, we all dressed up in our traditional clothes.
This week we continued to learn about dinosaurs. We made a volcano using bicarbonate soda and vinegar. It was so much fun!
This week the children came back to school with an excellent attitude to learning! Well done Ash class! We have been learning about dinosaurs. The children enjoyed making fossils and being palaeontologist.
For this week, we have been learning about the Rainforest. We learnt that in the rainforest there is a special tree called cacao tree and chocolate is made from the cocoa beans. We used chocolate to make some chocolate muffin. It was so yummy!!!
This week we have learning about the Rainforest. We looked at the different animals that live in the rainforest. We also looked at non fiction books.
This week we learnt about Diwali. We dressed up in our traditional clothes to celebrate Diwali. We are also learning about the book Man on the Moon.
This week we looked at the people who help us in our community. We had a very special visitor! Mr Paul our caretaker came to talk to us about his job. We also celebrated Happy Feet, Healthy Heart week, promoting walk to school! We all dressed up as our tube station.
This week we learnt about Healthy Living. The children wrote their shopping list before going into fruit and vegetable shop. The children were also acting out the story of Handa surprise.
This week we continue to learn about Unique Me. We drew pictures of our family.
The children are settling in Reception very well. They have been making friends and getting to know their new environment. They have been learning about our new topic 'Unique Me'. The children tasted different fruits and had to choose their favourite and then draw a picture. Well done to all of you for a great week!
