Week of the 15.11.13
This week in the nursery we have been learning about shapes. We went for a shape walk and looked for shapes in the environment. We found different shapes during our shape walk, for example, circles, rectangles, squares, triangles, semi circles and octagons. We also went on a listening walk and could hear birds chirping, teachers talking, children talking, children jumping, the sound of an aeroplane flying and the sound of a van engine.
Next week we will be learning about traditional tales, starting with 'Goldilocks and the three bear'. For home learning, the children could bring in the book of Goldilocks and the three bears or something from the story, for example, different sizes of spoons or bowls.
We also did two minutes silence on Monday 11th Nov to remember all the soldiers who got hurt in the wars.
