MY ROLL OF EXCELLENCE THIS WEEK GOES TO:
Bavisha for her amazing effort on her home learning project.
In science we have been learning with the scientific method about electricity. We had 2 groups studying the effect on the brightness of the light bulbs of adding more batteries into the electrical circuit; 2 groups studying the effect on the brightness of the light bulb of adding more light bulbs into the electrical circuit and 2 groups testing various types of material to identify which can or cannot conduct electricity. Next week the groups will be sharing their results with the class. Make sure to ask them some question.
In science we have been learning with the scientific method about electricity
This week in English we have been learning about play scripts and have been adapting the Iron Man into a play script. In Science we are starting to learn about electricity and created a electrical circuit by ourselves.
This week in science we have been learning about food chains
This week we have been working on representing multiplication, distributive law and associative law.
This week Year 4 had the opportunity to go and see School of Rock. We had an amazing time!
This week the children in Willow Class has presented their work about their Biomes. We learnt about the Tundra, the Taiga, the temperate forest, the Rainforest, the Grassland, the Savanna and the Desert.
Also this week our class cooperated with Maple class for D.T. planning their salads and it’s packages.
In Science we are learning about the digestive system and created a model/simulation of what happens during the digestive process.
Willow Class have been creating their own stories based on the book Journey from Aaron Becker. Adding speech and narration to the pictures. We have created a digital and a paper version.
Year 4 willow are writing their own version of the Lion , the Witch and the Wardrobe.
In Art lessons Year 4 willow have been sketching self portraits
This week children in Willow Class are working on their rhythm by learning body percussion.
