Making animal bookmarks for the Summer Carnival

This week the children have been learning to convert between different units of measure using their multiplication and division skills. Here they are investigating shopping items and creating baskets equalling certain masses.

Here are a range of photos showing Aspen and Elder class working together during crossover links week. They worked extremely well together and really enjoyed this project

Shakespeare Project: Y5 had their first practise of what will be their final performance!

This week Year 5 have had some fun challenges in maths, making different polygons with post it notes. We have also started our Shakespeare project; the children did so well developing their actor's stance and improvisation skills.

Learning about the battle between the Spanish and the Aztecs; re-enacting their fierce fight. Testing out different materials to discover which is the best electrical conductor and insulator

Having fun at Harry Potter Studios . . .

Chocolate challenge: Creating chocolate companies and calculating the amount of ingredients needed to make chocolate bars. On Friday afternoon they will be pitching their idea to "Dragon's Den".

Investigating thermal conductors and insulators / Exploring different scenes in Harry Potter, using senses to bring their descriptions to life
