Staff Poetry competition
On Monday 23 June, the School learning Council held a staff Poetry Competition. The Learning Councillors asked the staff to write their own poem about Newton Farm School. There was a judging panel of pupils and they had a tough decision to make about the first, second and third positions as the entries were of such a high calibre!
A decision was eventually made the first prize of the Newton Farm cake baked by Miss Hugill went to Mrs Jefferies. The second prize of a home-cooked Indian meal went to Mr Bradley and the third prize of a novel went to Mrs Radia. The other members of staff who entered the completion were commended for their excellent entries! Well done to all the staff! The pupils thoroughly enjoyed the event!
