MY ROLL OF EXCELLENCE THIS WEEK GOES TO . . .
1. Sara Sophia and Kiana, for making a detailed flower using playdough.
2. Aashvi, for being able to confidently talk about signs of spring.
3. Tilak and Abeer, for enjoying learning about his numbers.
This week, we have been learning about Spring. We went on a spring walk and looked at different signs of spring. We did finger painting of a spring picture and used playdough to make different flowers. Next week, we will continue to learn about Spring.

Nursery children learned about Spain and participated in a range of activities.
The children dressed up in their royal costumes and pretended to be kings, queens, princes and princesses.
This week we learnt about 'Bakery'
This week we have been learning about 'Shopping'. We changed our role play area to 'Tesco'. The children have been busy writing their shopping before going shopping to Tesco. Next week, we are learning about 'Bakery' and the gingerbread man.
Chinese New Year: We read the story of Chinese New Year and celebrated by opening our restaurant called ‘Dragon restaurant’. The children had the opportunity of ordering rice, noodles and vegetable stir fry. We made mango pudding as well. The children pretended to be scientists and carried out a ‘dancing’ noodle experiment. It was exciting!
Learning about the story of Goldilocks and the Three Bears.
Winter: We have been pretending to be Arctic explorers, decorated our mittens with buttons and wrote the numbers and made warming soup - yum!
This week we have been learning about Winter. Children made snow pictures using cotton wool and paint. They also sang and acted on the song "Five Little Snowmen" and made snow. They thoroughly enjoyed all the activities. Next week we will continue learning about Winter. Have a great weekend!
This week we have been learning about Christmas. We changed the Nursery into Santa's workshop. The children have been pretending to be elves wrapping the presents for Santa. They have also been decorating the Christmas tree. Next week, we will continue to learn about Christmas.
Space: The children learned different facts about planets, astronauts and gravity. They explored different materials and textures related to the topic. They also pretended to be astronauts working in the space station.
This week we started learning about "Space". The children enjoyed playing in our space station and filled in their passport forms to travel to space. We also had learning journey meetings. Thank you to all the parents who attended. Next week we will continue to learn about Space.
Continuing to learn about dinosaurs: We had a very special visit. We did not see our visitors, but they did leave some footprints in the nursery. After we investigated, the children thought it was a t-rex that came to our nursery. We also found some dinosaur eggs. It was so EXCITING! Next week we will be learning about space.
The children drew about a range of People who help us, for example, police officers, teachers, doctors. They also used shapes to make the different People who help us
People who help us: The children made a police car using different shapes and colours. They also added the number on the car. The children pretended to be doctors, firefighters and builders. They also had the opportunity to write and post a letter in our post office.
This week we have been learning about 'All about me'. The children have been making their houses using lollipop stick and drawing a picture of their family. The children have been making friends and having lots of fun.
